英文中 “to quit one’s job” 是辭職比較口語(yǔ)化的表達(dá)方式，而 “to resign”是比較正規(guī)的表達(dá)方式。遞交 辭職信則為“to tender one’s resignation”。導(dǎo)致辭職的原因因人而異：有的人舉家遷移(relocation)不得已換工作，有的人是因?yàn)榻】怠?年齡或家庭因素，有的人是另謀高職，有的人是與同事或上級(jí)發(fā)生矛盾， 有的人是迫于工作壓力。但不管怎樣，作為辭職人你應(yīng)本著好聚好散、心平氣和的精神書(shū)寫(xiě)辭職信， 提一下公司給你帶來(lái)的好處，表達(dá)一番感激之情。為了發(fā)泄自我憤憤不平之情緒的辭職信 (negative resignation letter) 可能會(huì)帶來(lái)意想不到的麻煩， 尤其是當(dāng)你的新雇主到你的原單位進(jìn)行調(diào)查或?qū)懶沤o你原雇主索取推薦信時(shí)，麻煩就更大了。當(dāng)今社會(huì)辭職數(shù)年后又想回原單位工作的事兒是常有的， 所以寫(xiě)辭職信還得為以后留條后路。
英文辭職信由五部分組成：1、標(biāo)題 2、稱(chēng)謂 3、正文 4、結(jié)尾 5、署名和日期。

Dear Mr。 Please accept my resignation as associate chemist at the GERT Institute。 I plan to leave my job here on September 30， 2012， taking a few days of annual leave just prior to that effective date。 As you know， my primary interest has been in the oil and gas industry。 Therefore， I’ve accepted a position with Fury Refining， Inc。， that should put me back in touch with my “first love。” Although I’m eager to accept the challenges in this new position， I regret leaving the institute。 You and the organization as a whole have treated me very well over the past three years。 I won’t forget the friendship and professional growth I’ve experienced as an employee here。 Best wishes to all of you for years of expansion here。 Sincerely， XXX

Dear
After months of reviewing the outlook for the pany in the wake of this economic downturn， I see no other alternative than to resign my position as chief financial officer with HHH (pany)。 Needless to say， after 12 years of service， this decision was not an easy one。
Please make my resignation effective January 31， which is the end of my scheduled vacation。 I will turn over all pany books and settle my accounts prior to that date。
I look back on the experience gained and the friends made with much regard。 My association with HHH has been a valued part of my life。
